Are there any performance differences between Race 57 vs Race 74 when using the same power settings?

Some of the differences,
Race 57 - Tall (F2G) vertical stab & rudder, larger oil cooler/intercooler intakes, carb intake scoop, flaps

Race 74 -Standard (FG-1) vertical stab & rudder, small oil cooler/intercooler intakes, carb intake scoop, no flaps.

You'll have to ask Bob Odegaard. He's the only one who has flown both. Maybe Casey has too.

Primarily it is about the engine and what HP it can produce and how far you are willing to push the throttle. There is no substitute for HP.

Given your question I would venture that 74 would have a slight edge on 57 if both were flown with the same engine and prop producing the same power.
