Hi, haven't used the forum since I was 13 years old, but I decided to come back because I had a question about Tom Duffy's Marines Dream. I was wondering if she has an airshow schedule for this year. She's my favorite bird and I haven't seen her fly in 3 years. I normally only go to WW2 Weekend in Reading and Geneseo, (I wish I could go to more, but I'm only 15) but I don't see her on the lists of any other shows. I hope she hasn't crashed. On another topic; When is Glamorous Gal going to be back up? We keep losing warbirds on the East Coast. :(

As far as I know Marine's Dream is still safe and sound in Tom Duffy's collection. It looks like he will be bringing his B-25 and P-51 to WWII weekend this year according to the airshow roster on the MAAM's website. http://www.maam.org

I have not heard anything on the Wings over Long Island P-51 Glamourous Gal since it had it's landing incident.

I believe Gal was sold.

GG being sold coincides with what I was told might happen by a certain Mustang pilot who is known to peruse this board. Also the WOLI website has been taken down, and the WOLI FB page has not been updated since before the landing accident and then never mentioned it. That's really a shame as Chris Baranaskas became quite the accomplished Mustang pilot and will be sorely missed at airshows. Here on Long Island for just over five years we had WOLI P-51 and P-40 tearing up the skies and supplementing the fleet over at the AAM at FRG.

I also enjoyed the Vandy 1 act with the L-39. Chris lived about a mile away from my parents house, and numerous times we would be treated to the sounds of a Mustang as he swung around over head as he circled his own house. Great stuff. I heard that Chris is flying F-15's P/T with the ANG. Hopefully one day he will make a return to warbirds. The industry needs young people with his skills.

(BTW...If I win Powerball, I'm making an offer on the Hellcat at Kalamazoo and bringing it back to LI and airworthy status. I'll ask him if I can bring back the WOLI brand and he can fly it for me. 8) )

Very sad to hear this! We loved having both Chris and Bob at our show with their P-40/P-51. Chris was really looking good in that '51, especially last summer. Any clues as to where she went/why she was sold rather than restored?

Duffy has a show at Millville, with everything on display and then one flyer. My guess would be that it will be Kwitcherbitchen his P-51D.
