I have a feeling the weight I've managed to drop since January will be reinstalled, with interest, if they have the same food vendors as last year...

Now that's funny.

It used to be the only way to see three Zeros in formation was to see the Tora! Tora! Tora! show.

Simply beautiful. I lke Vic formation too.

So which zeros are these? The Planes of Fame and CAF examples, plus ??? Other than the one that just returned to flight with FHC, I can think of only one other airworthy "original", but it is painted in a buff color, not green. Has the one based at Ellington Field been repainted?

Cheers,
Richard

PS. It is way cool to see such a formation!

1-POF
2-CAF
3-the one that has been keeping a low profile at Mojave since the filming of Pearl Harbor I believe.

The third example is N553TT, sometimes referred to as the "Mojave Zero", as that is where it was based for a number of years - I believe it now lives at the Camarillo airport (though don't quote me on that). It, along with the CAF California Wing's Zero and the Flying Heritage Collection's Zero, were part of the batch of A6M's that were manufactured in Russia in the 90's from several wrecks. N553TT has been reported flying for a number of years now, but has never really been "on the radar" too much. It was at the Camarillo air show last year.

Edit: Here's a link to more photos of N553TT: http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/ph ... 561:1.html

WOW Imagine that, I had to squint at the screen to make sure they were not SBD's
