General inquiry...sorry if I am putting this in the wrong section. I don't see a thread here yet on the events/aircraft lineup for this airshow. If I remember correctly, this show is coming up in a couple weeks? Any chance that Jerry Yagen will have his Mosquito by then?

Again, sorry if this does not belong here in the Hangar...will post pix if I make it there.

None at all. It is hoped to fly (in NZ) 'some time this year'.

(And in an act of unadulterated piracy...)

As gear swings and engine plumbing were taking place in January, are any WIXers close enough to Bob Jens' Mosquito project to predict first flight?

At the Mutual Concerns of Air & Space Museum Conference that wrapped up this past Sunday, Jerry said he's looking at an August/September time frame for his Mossie to fly.

Thanks for the input fellas.

Google being our friend...found the website...still looks like a pretty sweet lineup. Any WIXers planning on being there Saturday? (May 18-20)

Somewhat related to this thread, the Flying Proms event takes place tomorrow at MAM. I would LOVE to be there. By all accounts it sounds like a first class event for the entire family.

Here's the link - http://www.militaryaviationmuseum.org/ for both WARBIRDS OVER THE BEACH and the Flying Proms events.

The Flying Proms event is tomorrow (that is TRULY a great event!) and the weather looks good!

I'll be there along with the other 5 aircraft handlers - we'll be the guys in red shirts launching/recovering the aircraft. You can't miss us, we'll be the guys working our collective keesters off - for free -- and we get to do the same thing for the airshow on the weekend of the 19th/20th.

These are both terrific events - hope to see everybody there!

What aircraft will be flying for the prom event? Not sure if I can make that one, but some friends here at the hangar are going and were asking.
