James,
Thanks from Jim and I for the books.
The Apache book looks great. :drink3:
A lot of great photos including an Apache with the nosecase and prop broke off of the Allison.

Received my copy too! I love the photo of Steve and Dan flying the A-36 (with paint) and "Princess Elizabeth" in formation. Some excellent photography, and the numerous profile illustrations are superb.

Thanks, chaps! Glad they arrived safely, and were welcome - good to hear.

To clarify, the book's our new one on the North American A-36 Apache dive bomber. I'm part of the MMP publishing team, and I was also responsible for some of the editing and sourcing of additional material - particularly images and data checking. Some of that help was very kindly provided by several WIX members, including a couple of queries on WIX, and through other routes. Some of those WIX members are the posters above, of course, while there were others who remain anonymous. Without whom, of course, it wouldn't be as good as it is. A big thanks to them all!

I'd like to specifically point out that the colour shots of Dan Friedkin flying his A-36 were kindly provided by Dan and by Richard VanderMeulen, and came in very late in the book's process, but added a certain something extra at the final stage. So a big thanks to them as well.

Artwork was by Juanita Franzi of Aero illustrations. ( http://aeroillustrations.com/ ) Delighted to have worked with her, too.

The book's details are here: http://mmpbooks.biz/mmp/books.php?book_id=170

I'd just also like to point out that while WIX gets a bit of a battering for some thoughtless and shallow contributions at times, there are also a number of us who have been lucky enough to make a number of great connections and improve our work in writing and publishing through that - for instance it's notable that today AGCary's posted on his new book as well. So thanks again to those who helped, via WIX, and thanks to WIX!

Regards,
