Dean, aka K5dh, and the guys at his Texas museum have aided the restoration of Lockheed Hudson NZ2035 at the Ferrymead Aeronautical Society by way of WIX.
Recently on the WIX Flea Market they advertised for sale some surplus radio kit amongst which was a Bendix TA-2 transmitter that FAS have been hunting for for some 15 years to go into NZ2035, one of only some 9 Hudsons left in the world.
A deal was able to be struck and after some short notice quick action the unit made the trip to New Zealand as baggage with an Air New Zealand employee returning home from a business trip to Burbank.
So one more step on the long journey of restoring NZ2035 has been taken with the TA-2 now happily in place.
Nice one WIX!

Great stuff-just goes to show the positive contributions on WIX far outweigh all the BS
Wonder what problems the Air NZ guy had at US Customs
