Interesting insight to how the Chinese in the 1950s viewed the US in the Korean Air War.... please be aware the flying scenes is right up there with Top Ghun.

Well...they got the MiGs right but PLEASE, somebody assure me that those guys have day jobs. :vom:
First time I've seen an F-80 with a greenhouse canopy. I know...I know...don't start pickin' it apart. I'll be all day.

Mudge the critic

ps...the script was a bit better than Top Gun. At least they weren't saying everything twice. :(

Everybody has their Hollywood...have to love that tiger/skull/wings nose art on the USAF aircraft with the pilot that looks like Ernest Borgnine's brother...

Wonder how much makeup was used to come up with that USAF general? pop2

I've had 10:00 to 10:10 on loop for about 15 minutes now and I can't stop laughing.

Re: the American general/makeup thing, I know that there were a few American defectors that ended up being movie stars over there for precisely that reason. Maybe it was one of them? There's a movie on NetFlix called "Crossing the Line" that details one of them.

Has anyone noticed that the 'F-84' pilot seems to be riveted into the cockpit?
