Today was the media preview day for the Planes of Fame Airshow at Chino. The show is over the weekend of May 5-6, and the theme this year is "1942 - Turning the Tide".

There is always a great selection of warbirds at this show, and this year will be no exception, including 4 B-25s to commemmorate the Doolittle Raid, a performance by The Horsemen, and a Heritage Flight with a QF-4 Phantom and P-51.

For the media preview, the Air Museum put up their P-38 and P-40, in the capable hands of Steve and John Hinton. My thanks also go all at PoF who made today possible, and to Jeff Pearson for once again doing an excellent job piloting his Cessna 190 as camera ship.

The Museum's P-51 "Spam Can" was getting the paint treatment in the restoration hangar, presumably it won't be remaining in the Breitling scheme.

Mike, excellent photos! I really wish I could get out there for the show...most curious to see the P-38 lead Horsemen act.

Speaking of the POF Mustang, it's looking stunning! Along with Tom Duffy's Mustang, it is great to see 506th FG (Iwo Jima) schemes being given attention.
