Need an expert on the K14A gunsight for a question please

I need a question answered please.
On the K14A sight with the ranging cable setup for the twist grip on the Mustang's throttle arm, I need to know exactly how the cable worked on the twist grip. I'm trying to rectify how the casing of the cable didn't move with the throttle yet operated the range when the barrel of the throttle was twisted since the two were attached.

Dudley, it works very similar to that of a brake handle/brake line on a bike. On the throttle, the twist handle portion has a bracket attached to it, that moves with the handle, and the throttle arm itself has another bracket that is fixed. There is a cable housing that secures onto the fixed throttle arm bracket, and that cable housing runs to and through the instrument panel and comes back out near the top of the instrument panel, where it is secured as well (it is also secured at the back of the panel). Through this cable housing runs the actual wire cable itself, that secures to the bracket on the twist handle, travels through the housing, behind the instrument panel, and runs up to the range dial on the gun sight. By twisting the trottle handle backwards, it pulls the wire out, thus turnmg the dial on the gun sight.

If you or A2A Simulations would be interested in any photos or drawings showing this, just let me know. This is something I have been wanting to do on my own productions through Warbirdsim, but have never done so due to risks concerning in-game performance (to do it all correctly, demands a lot of modeled items and polygons).

Our Mustang didn't have the sight installed. We did have the twist grip but nothing attached to it. There was a flange on the grip at the throttle joint.

Problem is now solved. Thanks again for your help.
