It was too close....
Power is out at the house and some scattered damage around Arlington and Dallas...but so far everyone is safe...so far.

News reporting Lancaster was hard hit. How did the airport fare?

Not an official spokesperson but what I heard late today at CAF HQ was that the worst weather missed the Lancaster airport as well as Meacham in Ft. Worth and Cavenaugh's in Addison, all places we have CAF planes and folks based. I certainly hope that is correct info. My wife is in Dallas and went to the shelter in the complex she was at for a while but that area just north of downtown did not seem to suffer much damage, I gather. Hopefully there is only property damage elsewhere in the D/FW area and few if any injuries. If you need any official news regarding CAF matters, please contact Patti Collins at CAF HQ, 432-563-1000 ext 2269 or email pcollins@cafhq.org.

From what I have heard no warbirds were damaged...but they are inspecting over 100 airliners at DFW airport...

Here's a link to my video from today.....such as it is.

That orange trailer flying in the air is about 2 miles East of Lancaster. I didn't get a call but will ease over to the office and check things out early in the morning...

My wife just informed me they received a message from the Dallas branch of the Credit Union where she works informing all and sundry they would not be answering the phone, as they were all in the vault.
