The one and ONLY SB2C-2, buaerno 03862. Same time frame as the Wildseacat when someone convinced the Navy that you couldn't disable a float plane runway because you can't bomb a hole in the Ocean. Wonder if it squealed like a pig when it left the water. Hard to believe anything could make an SB2C look like a sparkling performer.

If I remember reading right, this airplane was actually a A-25A that was converted to the -1 and then a -2

The only s/n reference given is the buaerno. supposedly the first of 187, did the A-25 retain the folding wing fittings, plumbing, and mechanisms?

Well there is the proof that it was a -1 at one point. But I cant remember where I had read that the early -1's were converted A-25's that the Army did not want and I believe the wings did not fold so the ones that the Navy took were used for training. Any wixer on the know? Chuck??? You on the know since your building one??? Maybe Mike?
