I thought I'd share the layout for page 1 of my book on the Douglas F3D Skyknight

Very nice Alan - thanks for sharing!

Do you have an estimated release date yet?

Anthony

Mr. Carey

Nice cover photo for the Skynight (!!) and am anxiously awaiting its publication. FWIW, my father was a production manager for the F3D at Douglas (Santa Monica). Although they are identified as an El Segundo product the fuselages were produced at the Santa Monica plant and trucked to El Segundo for final assembly and flight test.

I didn't know that. Maybe I can squeeze that in somewhere.

Thanks!

Alan:

There was also a swept wing variant of the Skynight planned and to have been known as the F3D-3. It never got beyond the concept phase but I do recall seeing an artists conceptual drawing of it.
