If the hub can have a tire mounted on it, try a regular tire & tube and have it filled with rubber at a forklift tire store.

That won't work- the hubs are flat, specifically made for pressed-on rubber tires.

For a Bearcat type tailwheel, you can get it urethaned, kind of like a skateboard wheel.

Have you checked with companies that do recapping of aviation tires? Desser Tire in CA and Wilkerson in VA are two that we use based on location and size of tire.

That would be an option. This is a SB2C Tailwheel. Where do you have the Bearcat Tailwheel Urethaned?

I have checked with most companies such as Dresser,b but they don't do press-ons. The one we typically use had the wheels for 6+ weeks, & said it would be another 3+. I thought I could do better, but maybe not.

You might find that it's cheaper to just buy NOS or refurbishable examples, as there are quite a few of them floating around. I know I've regularly seen them on e-bay and Barnstormers.com, and bought one myself some years ago. Will this be going on a flyer?

Cheers,
Richard
