This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I heard the B-29 had to be evicted from it's latest hangar so to protect it from the elements it was basically shrink wrapped. It's apparently out by the museum and has a bow for the holidays. I'm looking forward to hearing more details on this and it's future.

I saw that yesterday while I was driving on Perimeter Road...I really had to chuckle about the red bow.

I heard it was just outside for a month, then back in the hangar.

Does the museum have any concrete plans to put the B-29, B-17 and perhaps the B-47 on inside display at anytime in the future?

It's better protected from the elements than DOC is.
Unless it's been moved somewhere under cover, the WB-47E has been outside since it first arrived @ KBFI in 1969.
The original plan was to replace the DC-3 hanging from the ceiling inside with Swages B-17, then to build a dedicated building for the 17 and 29, all they need is a huge pile of intaglio prints of dead Presidents and some more dirt.

I was under the impression Doc was being stored inside. Whats a Swages B-17 and can you clarify what intaglio prints of dead presidents and some more dirt means?

"dead presidents' are the faces on the US currency!
They (the museum) needs an a$$ load of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

An excellant question but far from being dumb.

The B-17F 'Boeing Bee' was originally owned by a local individual who owned an aircraft cable supply company and who's nickname was 'Swage' so those of us who knew the airplane when it was bare aluminum with orange trim still refer to it as 'Swage's airplane'.
Intaglio prints of dead Presidents refers to dollars, gidahs, bux, simolians, razbukniks. The reference to dirt would mean land to put a facility on as levitation has been pretty much disproved at this point in time.
And since no one has updated anything about DOC in some time, the last I understood was the Canadians who bought out Boeing commercial in WTC kicked it outside about 15 minutes after they got the keys to the place.

Yah.., I have a baaaaad feeling 'Doc' and the 'Spruce Goose' will be up to flying status about the same timeframe
