Wanted: Ride in an EP9 Prospector

Im trying to get a ride in an EP9. Anyone know who I can get in touch with?

Long story but it involves a close family connection to the type.

I show 2 "airworthy" Prospectors in the US, the one listed above and N8395 in Mississippi. There is an additional aircraft, ZK-PWZ that's still flying in New Zealand (and last I heard still working on occasion too), and finally there's one that's technically airworthy at the SAAF museum in South Africa.

There are a couple more in Australia, but I don't know their status or if they'd be able to do a flight for ya.

CF-NWI in the Reynolds Museum, Wetaskiwin, Alberta (Canada) is reportedly airworthy but not active. I doubt it will ever fly again as it's stashed at the back of the hangar with all the other ostensibly preserved but not displayed airplanes.

The example in the SAAF Museum is essentially complete but has not flown in about 20 years
Other than the $$ that need to be spent on it I am not aware of any reason it could not fly again

I don't believe there's any flyers in Australia at the moment. I may be (hope to be!) wrong though.

BTW, I've had a little fascination with the Prospector since I first learned of its existence a year or so ago when a couple friends of mine started modeling the entire (yes, entire) Auster and Percival "library" of models for Microsoft Flightsim. Seeing the evolution of design of both historic and storied design firms in the UK has been enlightening and sad at the same time since neither were really able to sell many aircraft despite having several designs that were excellent for their time and in many ways outperforming their US and Canadian competiting designs.

I've got a lead on -PWZ in NZ and the RSA one too.

Bearcat, you are right, it is $$ in part why its not flying but also paperwork; I have an ex SAAF mate at work who is in contact with the relevant people.

If anyone hears of an EP9 up for sale (with the exception of Jan's) let me know - I may well be interested. All states of rotting frame considered.
