Thank you for posting all the photos, it's interesting to read about 'off the front page' aircraft that are still making a living and working hard for someone. It's also fun to see what's been pushed out behind the hangers.

I'd like some info and details on that DH-114 HERON converted to a pair of PT-6's-

It's called a Saunders ST-27. Lots of stuff via google (or your favorite engine).

C-46 C-GTPO is back in Buffalo's yard in Yellowknife. Haven't seen it flying yet but it's parked out in the back forty.

Ice season up there is really bad about now and will be for another month or so, but for the majority of the winter it's just too cold for much icing. We all complain about -40F temps but when it's that cold up there the weather is usually fantastic. I believe that technically, from a humidity stand point, the place is almost a desert.
