This comment comes from the author of one of my favorite webcomics (probably not for the likes of everyone around, anyway)...

I thought someone here would have the answer (or point to hit)

Someplace I hear that was a nickname for the the first helicopter into a firezone in Vietnam.

Haven’t heard it since; maybe it was just the nickname in that unit? Don’t ask me to pinpoint; it was a long time ago. I just remember the term, is all.

confirm, deny, somewhere in between?
