Hung out at the local airshow on Friday and Saturday.
Typical AFW show... a bit slow, heavy on acro stuff, jet truck, bounce houses, awesome military acts and just a few warbirds.

Ross Perot Jr (it's "his" airport) beat up the field in his T-38/F-5?

I was told this was the last AT-6 ever built...the newest T-6..so to say...
Any truth to that?

Bummer that the Saturday night rains turned all the parking areas into mudpits. I'm glad the show people were way proactive and cancelled before people could have gotten stuck. Wish I could have taken the boys over there, but work interferred heavily.

I might be wrong, but......the German T-6 may belong to Congressman Sam Richardson, who bought it from the German Air Force; this was apparently Adolf Galland's personal bird.
Not sure..........
VL :?

I took a few static display shots in the mornings before they opened the gates. I was stuck playing flight instructor on the B-52G sim all Saturday so I didn't get any in-flight photos though.

EDIT: Post updated with pics.

I might add a few panoramic images and a few videos later if I get motivated. :)

Vlado-

He parked next to me (SAAF AT-6C... and no photos... talk about dissed).... we chatted for quite awhile. Name of the pilot is Sam Graves, from Tarheel, Mo.... the airplane is an T-6J and the last one made (new build not reworked G).... said it was Gunther Rall's personal airplane.... Rall autographed the baggage door. Seemed like a good guy, surprised to learn he was a congressman.... did you know BA Anders is running as well? He needs your support!

Gave my AT-10 project to Sam. He is a great guy and friend of Private Aviation. Wished he was living in a White House. (He will probably kill me if he reads this)

Sams 6 also has one of the best paint jobs out there in terms of flawlessness... I don't know who did it, but it's gorgeous. If you ever get the chance, go up and look at the stenciling and insignias… awesome.

Thanks for posting the pics by the way! I was committed to a family event in Mineral Wells that weekend and had to keep white knuckles on the wheel not to turn off and head to Alliance...

I had camera difficulties, so I got very few shots worth showing. Here are a few:

F/A-18E Super Hornet:

Thunderbirds doing that cool crossover maneuver:

And this one so Gunny will quit whining:

gotta love that B-52 still going strong. Love watching them in the air and seeing that long trail of smoke
