An unmarked F-84F has appeared at the Marietta History Museum.
Can anyone confirm that this is 52-6476, which has disappeared from Calhoun/Mercer Field.
Thanks,
Andy Marden

Yup! That is it. We had them on the show a few weeks ago . This is really great that they saved one of the birds from there.

They're putting the wings back on it shortly. They're actively restoring it for display. I'll be helping them out with reference from my F-84F microfilm collection.

The T-29 is still in discussion but it's in pretty bad shape. If the T-29 does get scrapped, I'm talking with them about at least saving the cockpit section. There is enough C-131 and civilian Convair stuff floating around surplus to make it a plausible cockpit project.

I predict the little Marietta museum will grow by leaps and bounds. I would not be at all surprised if it quickly outgrows the county museum that it is a part of. Too bad they only have 15 acres and no runway access though.
