When I was at Reno I spotted a shiney F-86 tail section sticking out of a hangar. It was just the tail section but the crew was pulling it out for display. Apparently the rest was in a hangar not accessible to the public. I believe it was wing of the Commemorative Air Force that was doing the work. Unfortunately with events I was not able to get back there and get some contact information. Can anyone here help me with that? Right now Google is just giving me a bunch of listing related the the accident.

Mike

P.S. There was another F-86 stored unrestored in a hangar near the entrance to the pits from the grandstand section. Does anyone happen to have any ID information for this one? I'll check my copy of Andy Marden's book when I get home.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Mike...... one of the Sabre's is indeed a CAF bird. She is under the care of the High Sierra Sqdn. Good people up there. This website is newer than the old site, but it does not have a rotating photo gallery.... which showed the work bestowed on this bird.....

It was flying in Texas with Bill Law and did make Airsho' at Midland one year.... It will be nice to see this bird back in the air.....
