Heres a photo that some may remember of a aircraft --- RAAF warbird PV-1 Ventura which was flying at RAAF base Richmond in 1996 during airshow and it suffered engine failure - http://www.airliners.net/photo/Lockheed ... 0523733/L/
I was there that day and caught its last flypast and it then disappeared from view... later we learn it crashed landed with engine failure.
Now it rests on display at RAAF Museum. Pity it couldnt be reflown.

The Ventura is in storage awaiting repair. Since its belly landing it has never been on public display.
