Warbird Information Exchange

I was watching the show 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show with my daughter the other night. During one of the contests they appeared to be on a movie set, or some large ranch type area, I believe in CA. In the background there seemed to be the forward section of a C-82, and next to it a pretty much complete B-17. It was olive drab in color, with a star insignia on the rear fuselage. It looked to have been dropped there, as it appeared to have the underside gutted and the wings detached. No engines, no vertical tail secton.
Looked thorugh a couple of books and didn't see any reference to this. Any ideas? Can try to get a pic of it off the TV and post it, but don't know how good a quality that would be.
