All:

Where could I find the wiring harness specs on the P&W JT8D as used in the 727-200s (among others). That is, if I had to replace all the wires, what is the proper reference and where can I get a copy?

Thanks in advance!

Drop P&W an E Mail or see if you can locate one in a scrappers yard, but you'd need to prove to them somehow, that you were NOT going to give it a tiaquana overhaul (steam cleaning) and try to sell it as servicable, the authorities all over the world are still chasing bogus rotables from a BA 747-100 accident/fire many years ago and scrappers are pretty hesitant to sell you anything not smashed flat or 'tweeked' with a blue tip wrench.

Thanks Inspector, but I'm not actually trying to get the harness itself (no overhauls happening in my garage). Just interested in the electronics end of the thing.

I'm looking for what the heck the harness is made from. That is, what are the specs on the wires making up the harness. If I were making a harness, like baking a cake, how would I know what ingredients to use? Certainly there's a manual that describes replacing these wires with specific types/metals/diameters/coverings, etc., correct? If so, what is it and where would I get one?

Might want to try www.aircraftmanuals.com they have a great deal of sometimes obscure documents.
