hello all

picked up a copy of "Zero-Sen: Zero Fighter Flies Over Japan" while in the POF's Valle AZ museum gift-shop; it's a nice little 1978 booklet published by the POF covering the restoration of their Zero and it's tour of japan. It states that on July 28, 1944, Maj. Edwards USMC was the first pilot to take it up on a test flight. At any rate, I was flipping through my 1970 copy of R.J. Francillon's "Japanese Aircraft of the Pacific War", and on the inner cover is stamped "W.W. EDWARDS, USMCR, 1943-1945". I know it's a longshot, but any chance these two individuals could be one in the same?

Any info appreciated.

cheers

greg v.
