Well OK ~ It's actually 6:20 on Saturday morning and I've only just downloaded my pix from yesterday .....

Quite a few arrivals ~ despite the weathers best efforts to prevent aircraft coming across from Europe

Dakota Norway's immaculate C-47 ~ with full passenger load !

Image

French based C-47 with a US registration

Image

Along with another parts of the French warbird movement

Cliff Spink coming around the corner .....

Image

Commonwealth Aircraft Company CAC.22 ~ Big Beautiful Doll made it from Germany.
The other two Mustangs and two Spitfires were defeated by the weather.

High winds at Duxford meant we've yet to see three Buchons in the air together.

However a Spitfire made it's first public appearance down at The Aircraft Restoration Hangar

Image

For a slow time engine run. This is an extensively rebuilt early Mark. I aircraft ~ painted in the
classic Battle Of Britain one wing black and one wing white scheme

More soon

Wow... that Mk.I looks lovely! Is that Peter Monk's X4650? Love the yellow gas detection patch on the left wing (at least that's what I assume it is. Any more photos available?

Cheers,
Richard

So, we're going to have a Hawk 75, P-40C, P-40F and P-40N as a potential formation... and the MS 406 and Hawk 75... and that jaw-droppingly beautiful early Spitfire... and THREE Buchons... and who knows how many Mustangs and other Spitfires... oh, and let's not forget the P-38 and all the early passenger iron...

Yep, that's it. I'm officially jealous as all he||. Just an incredible display, I can't imagine Oshkosh coming anywhere near this level of quality AND quantity.

My only request is that everyone FLY SAFE!!!

Wonderful, wonderful photos- thank you for sharing all of these!

Lynn

Yes.... and what a stunning sight it was too as a four x ship .... 8)

The magical 4 x ship Hawker biplane formation was just as stunning as well.
