Warbird Information Exchange

To say that I should not voice an opinion because someone may or may have helped me 3 years, 8 months and 7 days since my house burned down is insulting. It the hardest thing in the world to let people help you (actually asking is and TG I haven't had to do that!) and my WIX family really came through and it meant more ( and still means more to me) than anyone can truly understand). I owe so much and have tried to repay that by the way I live my life. I donate blood, food to the foodbank, take dog food to the animinal shelter, sponsor kids in their funfaising efforts and most of all just try to be a good neighbor, a good friend and just do right by folks. I have supported WIX with my time, my photos, my limited knowledge and my money. But, I will never foreit my right to my opinions to anyone at anytime. I will, however, always be polite and never attack anyone on this board or anywhere else for that matter. Do I think Fragile But Agile and Marinell are the actual P-51Ds they are represented to be? NO I don't. Do I think they are beautiful and a flying testament to the enthusiasts who own and operate them and the craftsmen who created and maintain them?? YES I DO!! Has for the FH's P-40F it's beautiful and I'd love to see it someday. But, after seeing the FC's P-47Gs I sorta think they should paint everybody's warbird. The WOW factor of the P-47G paint job is a 10/10!! So to sum if anybody out there needs something and there's anything I can do just ask away. But, if it involves me forfeiting my opinion you're better off saving your breath. Rant over>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think the man has earned his right to whatever opinion he sees fit. I'm also sure that most warbird owners usually could care less about the opinions of WIX members.

Jokes aside, thanks for all the pics and insights over the years.

We all have our opinoins and I think everyone here knows what they're worth. Some are informed, some less so, but we gather here to share/ridicule alike. All part of the game.

What I respect about Jack the most is the fact that he is REAL. Love it or hate it, you know where he stands. There are many opinions on this site, many of which I haven't agreed with, but I respect folks like BDK, JDK, EDowning, Jack Cook, Bill Greenwood, August, etc who will say what they mean. It doesn't mean I agree with it all and doesn't mean they agree with everything or anything I say.

I don't think everyone has to be a sycophant to warbirders or other memebers just to participate in this site. Quite honestly if someone would avoid this site just because they are being continually patted on the back, and they can not stand a bit of conroversy I'd rather they just stay away anyhow.
