A connection question. What the military aviation (warbird, loosely) connection between children's author Richard Scarry & modern beat combo Primal Scream?

I'm looking for a one word answer (there's a correct one word, Curruthers at the back) and an explanation.

More importantly (to me!) once we've got the connection, I'm looking for other similar examples of pop culture where this thing has appeared.
