I just had to ban Franklin, you can see why here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=41235

I just want you all to know that the days of tolerating the :bs: are done. Ztex and the new mods do not deserve the abuse and I will not stand for it any more. In the future this is how things will be.

Step 1: PM warning from myself. If I have to give you a warning then that means my mods have tried and failed to solve the issue. You will only get one warning from me. If you fail to head that warning then its on to step 2. Also, if you respond to any warning with abuse or threats we jump to step 3.

Step 2: 30-day suspension. your account will be deactivated for 30-days, at the end of which it will be reactivated. I individual returns to his previous behavior then it's on to step 3.

Step 3: Banned indefinitely. I won't say banned for life any more because there are always circumstances that make that invalid. I will however ban the individual for quite a long time unless a good case can be made for reinstating an individual. As usual, the donation of a B-25 or A-26 will get a ban lifted.

I don't like having to be the "man" and come down on people, but it only takes a couple of trolls to spoil a community, and as most of you know, if you don't burn a troll he will just regenerate and come back.

Lets just all get along. Online is a horrible place for an argument.

That's more than fair and equal to everyone. I guess he came in after BG and Broken Wrench failed to listen and heed.

WHOA...last time I heard a "Huzzah" was in the 1890s. You must be old.

It's sad that some people do not appreciate the wonderful opportunity and contacts that can be made through this site. I am very thankful to Scott for this forum, and I personally know his site has done a heck of a lot to support warbirds (and warbugs) and keep them flying by bringing people together who otherwise might never have met.

Rats! I was hoping that there was something of interest going on at Banning Airport...

Franklin brought up some good discussions, but one's positive impact needs to outweigh the negative or else you're just dragging the place into the gutter.

Actually, sounds like I should probably warn myself! :?

Thanks for taking on the thankless job Scott and the other moderators! :drinkers: I raise a Diet Coke in your honor.

I went past the Banning airport (and scales as well!) last night, and did not see Franklin there....I guess he was banned there too?????
Scott, ya did right, man....but I do disagree about your opinion on on-line arguing...as long as it's a healthy, and productive argument.

I mainly lurk these days...more because I don't have much in the way to offer than because of the bickering. However, it does appear to get out of hand and I think the new procedures are a step in the right direction.

Good on you Scott! And the Mods!

I thought trolls lived under bridges? Suddenly I feel like I missed a crucial meeting with my career counselor :?
