Hi guys,
For all you wixers out there I want to introduce myself. My name is Frank Andruss Jr. and i own and operate the " Whistling Death Corsairs Exibit." It's my personel collection that i have collected over the years because i loved the Corsair ever since i sat in one at the Bradley Air Musuem,( Now the New England Air Musuem.) My exibit travels to airshows, libraries and Veterans functions to educate the public and younger generations about what the Corsair did during it's career and also telling about what the veterans did for our nation during wartime. I also try to stress the importance of the workers who also built the Corsair as they are just as important as any ace.

What i'm asking and trying to accomplish is to collect as many signatures of Corsair pilots or Chance-Vought, Brewster or Goodyear employees who any involvement with building the Corsair on 3x5 index cards. Each signature i get, i'm going to have everything framed with a small write up below each signature. As of right now i have collected around 20 pilots. I want this to be a part of my exibit so every Corsair Veteran can be honored to the public. Not everybody was an ace, but they all had a part in winning the war. So please, if you know a Corsair veteran, have them sign that 3x5 index card with their name and squadron or years they served. Even if you worked at one of the plants I'd love to have your signature too. If anybody can help me please p.m. I know how close wixers are and I know with your guys help i can achieve this to tell the story of everybody i find out about. Thank you!

Frank

Blacksheep Pilot Tom Emrich is not able to travel anymore, so I took his new 214 Flight Jacket to him after the Reunion.

Frank,
Next time you can get down the shop Ill get you 2-4 of them. The reality is that an index card can only be sold once and unless you have photos of the person signing the card or a video to prove it, they have little monetary value and more intrinsic than anything else. Now if you have a Sikorsky or Chance Vought era autograph of Rex or Boon or Lucky Lindy on Sikorsky or CV letterhead  , well thats a different story. Our Connecticut Corsair vets love to talk about their past and will happily share an autograph if you ask nicely, although they may be more interested in talking about their golf game :D

There is a group of former Chance-Vought employees in the Dallas area who have been involved with Corsair restorations and such. I'm sorry I do not have any contact info but I bet someone on WIX might. They may be interested in helping you.

thank you very much. Any help is much appreciated from anybody. I'd love to get chance-vought,( stratford and Dallas,) Goodyear and Brewster employees involved as much as corsair pilots in this project. Basically, i'm invisioning a large photo of the corsair in the middle of a giant poster board and surrounding it with the autographed index cards of anybody who had a hand with our bent wind bird. The actual value of the cards means nothing to me. It's the story im trying to tell and trying to involve and give credit to our veterans and workers who put the corsair together. :D

Hi Drew! I've got a lot of 8x10's autographed, but there's too many and too big to display. With the 3x5 index cards i can display many of them and this will give a chance for former employees to sign their names too and be involved. Their was so many " Rosie the riviters" that helped chance vought, goodyear and brewster during ww2 that they should be apart of this as well. But i would love a Boon autograph on a flight test chance vought paper work!

Sure! I'm willing to except any corsair pilot from British colors. Luckly, i'm not far from Stratford, Ct where so many veterans, chance-vought workers and families still reside. All wonderful people
