The last Doolittle Raider command pilot was buried this morning at Arlington National Cemetery. Col. William Bower was saluted with full military honors and a B-25 flyover (courtesy of Larry Kelley and "Panchito"). Here's a link to the video I took off the balcony of the studio. This also marks the first civilian flyover at Arlington since 9/11.

Matt,

"Thanks" .. I really appreciated the post ... After seeing this, I'm more positive that next year's reunion will be their last.

I know it wont officially be the "last" because the Raiders don't want to use that term. The fact remains that Father Time is catching up with us all. So yes...come out and see the guys in Dayton. To quote my uncle Bill "don't come to my funeral...come see me while I'm still alive".

the men can't last forever, but with dedicated people and their love for history and warbirds, hopefully their planes will be in the air for a long-long time.
