Anyone know the fate of the 2011 Madera Airshow?
Just heard it was cancelled.
Was hopin it would build back up to be another warbird central over a few years again.
Now this.

The area has some of the highest unemployment rates in the whole state. Makes no sense to be putting on a show there. I Just finished watching a practice with empty grandstands, it makes about as much sense as Formula 1 racing in Turkey.

Fresno County's unemployment rate remained steady at 18.2%.
Madera County saw a jobless rate of 16.4% in February. January's rate for that county was 16.6%.
Kings County saw an improvement in its unemployment rate. In February, the rate was 18.0%, down from 18.2% the month before.
The unemployment rate in Merced County went up to 21.3%. The month before, the rate stood at 21.2%.
Tulare County also saw an increase in its unemployment rate. February's rate was 18.1%, up from 18.0%.
