Hi All,

I’ve posted a gallery of photos from the 82nd Airborne Division Museum on Ft Bragg, NC. The gallery has AFVs and artillery first (Most of my forum activity has been to AFV sites) followed by the aircraft and inside displays.
The museum has a great collection of stuff! Well laid out and definitely worth seeing.

Enjoy!

If you have an appreciation or interest in armored fighting vehicles, feel free to check out the AFV galleries on the site. Lots of other military museums are posted - with more on the way!

Cheers!
VB

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Base entry procedure looks like this:
Bring proper identification. There is a special lane for vehicles without military identification tags. You will need to provide your driver's license, proof of auto insurance and vehicle registration. Everyone in the vehicle needs to have some form of identification card. The guards at the gate will also search of your vehicle.

They have a halfway decent website too

Check out their multi media tour, FUN Airboune cadence/music background...Crank it UP!

Great pics!

A little historical trivia....the photos of the model of the Ste Mere Eglise church show the parachute of John Steele hanging from the spire to the left of the clock----this is historically correct.

If you go to Ste Mere Eglise today and see the real church you will note that the chute is hanging from the spire to the right of the clock... historically INCORRECT.

Reason: The Chamber of Commerce decided the current placement makes for a better photo op....
