LX-DKT which stood derelict at Ostend had been moved to Melsbroek barracks and will be restored as a static exhibition.

I haven't found nothing related to the service in Italy except for the info in the current edition of DC-3.

Would appreciate to learn any info regarding her wartime career.

Thks in advance.

The plane was on the books with the 8th Troop Carrier Squadron which was part of the 62nd TCG. A reading of the operations of the 8th TCS would indicate that although she was in AMERICAN livery, she (and the other C-47s in the 8TCS) almost exclusively serviced British combat operations in the MTO.
