Heard a rumor that Galveston Gal is now in her new home at LSFM.

From teh Pics I saw it looks like Ezell did there standard better than excellent job on her.

Anyone have anything they can post (all my pics came from otehr sources and don't feel right about posting)

Steve

Spent the night in wandering the Alleys and Vice Dens of Charlotte NC and finally found a person of questionable charactor that was willing to part with these-

Included the pic already posted so I can note that the person standing in front of her is Ray Lancaster- he was the original pilot of her Namesake. Trying to subtantitue a rumor that he may have flown some missions escorting the original Thunderbird as well.

I was just informed that he did indeed escort the original T-Bird on at least a dozen missions. Very cool to have the two aircraft paying tribute to them in the hanger together. And he is a Galveston Resident so the aircraft has an even deeper connection to the area

ALSO- for those interested I belive the ulitmate plan is that the musuem will be offering flight experiences in the "Gal". Not sure what the price will be and of course there is the mount rushmore of paperwork with the FAA to straigthen out but keep that in mind when you are in the Houston Galveston area.

A very beautiful Mustang, and cool story. The LSFM is a first class place.

This aircraft truly has come "home". LSFM owned it before the move to Galveston, over 20 years ago !

I think I'm the only person of questionable character here on WIX
