"this can be find on google" MICHAEL B. DOWLEY,SECRETARY,UNITED STATES AIR FORCE V YANKEE AIR FORCE,INCORPORTION AKA YANKEE AIR MUSEUM, The museum has aircraft's on loan from the NMUSAF, in OCT 9,2004 when the hanger burned down, was inside a F-105B (ex-thunderbirds) on loan, MAJ GEN CHARLES D. METCALF kept asking the board to pay for the F-105, I would be at the general meeting, it sounds like the board was refusing to pay for the F-105 on loan from NMUSAF, Always showing me that the YAM is above the rules by the NMUSAF,I have a copy of a fact sheets full with statements saying that the EX-PRESIDENT OF YAM and now is on the board, Lied and personally pissed off GENERAL METCALF, who retired at the end of 2010 :( So now the new director is LT.GEN. JOHN "JACK" L. HUDSON, maybe this guy willn't be so easy on them, I heard a rumor that NMUSAF may be removing aircraft on loan soon. On 1-8-11 a T-33 was removed NMUSAF is doing the right thing !!! :D :D :D :D

So basically it sound like NMUSAF is looking for reparations for an airplane that burned in a fire and is reavaluting there deal with YAM-

What an unfortunate situation for both sides. Having met several of the folks in Michingan and knowing that the events that caused this are beyond anyones control and YAM is struggling to stay alive- I really doubt anyone at YAM thinks they are above anyone.

I would have hoped the USAFM would have given some consideration for the unusual events in play here and I am also guessing from teh pointed slant of the original email that (as always) there is probaly another side and more detials to this story.

He did some more bashing of the YAM on another thread:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25877&start=30

I am just curious why a lot of new members with 1,2,3 posts are starting out with flame baiting posts? Spammers or banned members trying to start stuff around here? It''s really odd... Thread has been flagged.

I can't imagine the NMUSAF wanting damages for a F-105 destroyed in a hangar fire.
Did they ask for damages after the New England tornado or when static aircraft are wrecked in hurricanes? If they have, I've never heard of it.

Besides, what woulod they do with money collected..go out and buy another F-105B?

Silly,Silly JohnB. They need the money to buy another rare WWII airframe, restore it and then park it in the weeds to rot into the earth at some forlorned airbase in the middle of BFE like they always do.airplanes turn into fine potting soil.WWII aluminium works the best

OK, lets not bash either the USNAFM or YAF. Like was stated earlier, there may be a LOT more to this story or maybe NOTHING to this story. Let it play out and see what if any results come about.

I do not think it is totally BS. There was a thread for a couple of years ago where this was talked about. I saw it about 200 pages ago when I was trying to catch up on everything so I have no idea when exactly it was and the search feature does not seem to be very useful.

All,
Mr. Grumpyly is a former Yankee Air Museum member named Frank Nagy. Mr. Nagy was removed from our organization last year for a variety of reasons and is no longer welcomed at the museum. I am very sorry that he has found his way into our WIX family.
Regarding the Yankee Air Force Inc. v. United States Air Force Museum, there has been an ongoing discussion between the two entities since the 2004 fire regarding U.S. Air Force property lost in the fire.
I will not comment any further on the details regarding this situation as that would not be proper or prudent.
I can say that the end goal for the Yankee Air Museum is to continue the relationship with the United States Air Force Museum and come to a mutually agreeable resolution of this situation.
Regards,
Kevin

Thank you Mr. Walsh. There are a few WIXers, including myself, who should take note of the tone of Mr. Walsh's reply vs the tone of Mr. Nagy's post. Again, well done Mr. Walsh. You win.
