Great video Dave!

Are you using a 7D or 5DII for the video or did you go to dedicated video camera?

Tim

Hey Tim, I am still using a old Sony DVD cam, SD widescreen, But this year I plan to buy a 1080P Cam and also A 1080P helmet cam (VIO)

I never did try the 7D last year for video, should have since I had a 500F4 IS on it most of the summer.

I found that it can be hard to manually focus the 7D, there is not auto focus in video mode, in poor or challenging lighting conditions. I would also think panning and focusing at the same time would be a total pain in the butt. I think I might try it out but I don't have high hopes for the outcome.

But first I need to get a fluid head for my tripod.

Tim

Good to hear Tim, will be very interested to see your results. I have to keep it simple at my end, my wife does pretty much all the video work ( bless her )

Cheers Dave C
