Things I wished could happen, but realize little things like money, politics, and man power could weigh in on.....

Collings Foundation
* Take over the B-29 Doc and make it airworthy..tour it with the B-24 and B-17
* Obtain an F-105 and fly it along with their F-4, A-4, and F-100
* Obtain a Mig-17 and or Mig-19, Mig-21 and fly it with their Vietnam Heritage flight
Commerative Air Force
* DFW Wing expand to include a B-17 (Texas Raiders)? and some fighters?
* Maybe Collaberation between the various squadrons in the DFW area and make a presence at the Alliance Air show....would be nice to see more of the WW2
birds there and less of the nose bleed solo aerobatic acts and jet-powered outhouses/school buses/semi's
Vintage Flying Museum
* Buy the A-26 that was listed on the WIX board and add it to the B-26K and CAFs A-26 based at Meachem.

Once could dream....

I wish that those who scrap airplanes just give it to someone who wants it instead of scrapping it. The same goes for rotting aircraft sitting like in old airports, etc. If your not gonna use it or fix it up why not give it/sell it to someone who wants it?

I think thats a good idea about Collings getting the B-29 "Doc". But it would take a lot of money to get her to flight ready. :(

Here's to your wish Deskpro, although slightly modified......
The CAF does have a few jets, including an F-86 AND a MiG-17. Both are in the process of being returned to flying status and the MiG will be ferried back to Midland in the near future...... volunteers anyone?
