How the Connecticut Air and Space Center Spend The Holidays

Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:47 am

As you many of you know I work with the Connecticut Air and Space Center as a Director of Restoration on the FG1-D Corsair. This year I requested that we did not exchange gifts around the shop, instead I put together a Toys for Tots program about 2 1/2 weeks ago. We had the last pick up on Monday the 21st with a total 6 Full Boxes of items picked up!!! Warbird Kid / Chris Soltis handled the Flyers that went up and Crew members Ed McGuinness and Mark Corvino made sure that drop offs were made and Don Stanziale of Stanziale's Restaurant in Stratford gave us a great spot to set up the drop off point.

Thats what this holiday is all about, making a few children smile.

The photo was taken last week while we had a bunch of my crew and staff at the drop off location. I am the bald guy to the left.

Excellant! Toys for Tots is a good organization to remember around the holidays.

Thanks Pat. Feels good to for our group to finally, literally give back to the community. Hopefully we'll be able to do much more in many more ways in the near future.

Theres plenty of work to be done. We always need help. If your in the area, get involved.
