This C 47 is located at Rolla, MO Rolla Vichy. I've been told it has not moved in the past 3 - 4 years. It's owner has a fantastic collection of WWII era aircraft inside another nearby hangar. It's puzzling why this C 47 remains parked outside an empty hangar. (see photo below) Would be nice if someone had an interest. See photos of the field nearby for the potential fate of this C 47. A tornado had it's way with several like A/C.
Delivered as TC-47B-30-DK as 4476700. Current valid registration to E&L Leasing Viche, MO. No gust locks on the elevators? not a potentially happy thing-
These were the fleet of Baron Aviation. Those in the field were already derelict before the tornado of 1/10/08 although it certainly didn't help their condition any. Some discussion on this site: http://www.ruudleeuw.com/guestphotos-11.htm
N486C is actually a C-49 (impressed American Airlines DC-3).
