I believe that actually leaves us with only six left... if my count is right. I got to meet Mr. Ozuk at least once, maybe twice. I don't believe he even came to the Reunion when it was held here a few years back. He was a very private man here in town and didn't go places. He was devoted to his wife and took care of her for a while when she was essentially an invalid from what I heard. Here's a picture of him, the late Gen. Jones, and Lt. Col. Cole who is still with us at a print signing I helped out with.

From the left - Gen. Jones, myself, Mr. Ozuk, Col. Cole.

Sorry Ryan, my finger hit the wrong button. You are correct, it is six remaining with us. I should have proof-read what I wrote first I guess!

Well, bummer. I just figured out that I have a student right smack dab during the funeral time, and the student's from out of town... will have to talk to him about this. It would be the right thing to do.

Ryan,
How far away is Castroville? Perhaps a lesson within a lesson with an impromptu flyover?

My contact said Ozuk told his daughter that he didn't want a military funeral, so there probably won't be a request for a B-25 to fly over. If there should be, I guess the Devil Dog will do it. It's so great that at least one central Texas B-25 can be in the air!

To far to have good timing in the Cub... Anyway, I was thinking more of going in a suit and tie to pay my last respects to a hero.

I heard today that there might be a B-25 fly-over after all, possibly the one belonging to Rod Lewis. Fitting, I suppose, since one of the Raider's planes landed in Russia.
