I have never had a problem researching the WW II vintage aircraft I have restored, the aircraft cards and accident reports are readily available. However I am having a difficult time finding the right avenue in pulling the records and history of the Army T-41B that I recently bought.

Cessna T-41B Cessna serial # R1720085 Army Serial # 67-15804

We would like to know the initial and subsequent postings of the aircraft and am hoping it was assigned to Ft. Rucker at some point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Steve

I found that the serial # listed on Joe Baughers serial number page is incorrect , probably a typo. He listed the aircraft as serial # 67-15804 when in fact the correct # is 67-15084. As I was digging thru the documents that came with the aircraft I found this factory equipment list that contains the Army serial #.

Hello Steve,

Getting serial number information from the US Army, is the more difficult of all three major services.

You could try making enquiries with AMCOM at Redstone Arsenal
