Hello, a customer at my shop wantsto sell me a really nice compass. I googled the part # and cant get real info on it. it has over haul stickers on it and it works. the tag says A.F.U.S. army type D-12 order# AC-20662 mfrs part # 1801-1-A AN NO. Spec . NO 94-27825. ser# AC-41-16976. BENDIX OVER HAUL STICKER HAS A DATE OF 2-1-47. PLANE TYPE P-47. it looks way to big for a p-47. anythoughts? he want 100$. about 6.5 inch face. 3 mount ears. thanks for your time

How bad do you want it?

I've seen these things cheaper, but not always functional. Search on ebay, and you can often find one and see what they're going for. But they are almost always not working compasses anymore--these are wet compasses. Old seals dry out, and the alcohol leaks out, and it's done.

There is a limited supply of everything of this vintage, you know. If you need it, and it's not dried and non-functional ...
