I'm posting this after reading it in Fana de l'Aviation (french mag) and a quick search in the forum by "thunder city" didn't blimped on my radar.

abridged version: "thunder city" closed. reason: weak world economy, high maintenance costs and local authority instability.

I suppose that the crash of the their Lightning and the tragic lost of her pilot was also one of the main reason of that...
