Looks like a nice project. However, doesnt the P-51H use alot of magnesium which has a tendency to corrode and I had hear very few parts from other P-51s can be used on the P-51H, it was a pretty large redesign from previous P-51s. But with modern CNC machining any missing parts could be reconstructed economically.

BTW, I was noticing how many planes are listed on Courtesy currently with big discounts. I guess nobody has cash these days for cool toys. But it would be a great time to buy a toy at a discount if you had the cash.

That thing is right down the street from me. A lot of work for one person (maybe that's why it's for sale now...???).
The big / well known warbird shops could probably have it flying in a year or two (throw enough money + labor at
something and it will fly!).

I heard you could count the number of parts that are interchangeable on the P-51D / H on two hands and
one foot.

The current owner made new fuselage longerons, which I guess were quite the challenge (compound curves...???).

Would love to see this H model in the air again (it's been a project for many, many years).
