A great little fly-in that keeps growing, thanks to the CAF DFW Wing and the Cold War Air Museum, both based at Lancaster, Tx. So to jump start this years event, here a few pics from last year........ Hope to see everyone there...... Remember, official time is from 1000hrs to 1600hrs, Sat 9-4-10, Lancaster, Tx..... Rides will be available in the Stearman, Bt-15, B-25, and B-24A...... so come out and have some fun.... Alan

Charlie Wood, wing leader of the DFW Wing, talking your arm and leg off! You better watch this guy 'cause he can talk, clean out your wallet at the same time, AND make you happy about it!  Actually, this time he is giving an on camera interview.... you can just see a glimmer of the camera and camera guy in the extreme right hand edge of the pic.........

As happy as I am to see the B-25 Yellow Rose make the trip up from San Marcos, the "Big Dog" of the event will be........ ahem.... you know who.... "Ol' 927"! Again, here are a few shots from last year.. Just a little kidding their Mike..... my thought is you can never have too many B-25's at any event......
Charlie says he has a surprise planned for next year's gathering and now he just has to figure a way to do it!

Uh, hey guys....you might want to gather at the B-24. The Yellow Rose won't be there. Little problem on the way this morning...left engine developed high fuel pressure, high oil temp, and low oil pressure. Crew decided to return to base and had just turned around when the left engine quit. Thankfully they were just about at Austin. Returned to San Marcos for a real single engine landing. Panels are being pulled as I type this, then we'll check the oil screen and other things to see if we can figure out what's going on.

I'll keep you posted!

Chris, those pics were from last year (Alan didn't make that really clear since he buried it in his post). I think that pics of the Tora Zero were posted by Alan back then.

What about this year? It was a good turn out. Stuart Milson was flying the Cavanaugh FM2. Ronnie and I were in the A26. Come on Alan, I saw you there with the camera. You too Lynn.

It was great to meet the many WIXer's and a bunch of other folks this weekend!
It is amazing how many people know each other in this crowd...I met folks from all over the internet Saturday. WIX, Fence Check, Warbird Radio, Facebook etc. etc.
Super Day!

I was busy flappin my jaws and I missed a bunch of photo opportunities. But here's what some of mine.
