Hello,
Just got back from Thunder Over Michigan. I stayed Friday and Saturday. This was my first TOM show and I think I am pretty lucky to see 8 B-17's fly and an F-100. I love B-17's but to be honest my biggest highlight was to see the F-100 fly. There were no shortage of fly by passes either!

Seriously, I never thought I would get a chance to see a F-100 fly. It ment a lot to me and I can't tell you the feelings I was having seeing it fly. The old J-57(sorry I was calling it a J-79 all day. My bad!

) is a cool engine. Love the "boom" after kicking into afterburner!

Friday I was blessed with 6 or 7 "aborted" landings by the F-100 followed by a chute deployment during landing. Saturday was filled with a lot of afterburner "booms" too.
The B-17 flight was amazing! There were a lot of passes made!
I haven't really gone through my photos and edited them yet but I just couldnt wait to post some pics of the F-100. Sorry about the dust marks!
Thanks,
Nathan

Great shots!
I'd have to say the Century Series fighters are among my favorites also. My compliments to everyone involved in keeping that airplane airworthy and active.

NICE shots, Nathan. The F-100 was the highlight of the show for me. I have been trying to see this elusive beauty for several years and TOM was a GREAT showcase for it.

Why the drab understated paint on the Hun. It would look a lot better with a colorfull paint job.

I was surprised how quiet it was. I was expecting a screamer when it passed. IT was great to see it and the number of passes and the level was prefect! I hope to get to start looking through my pictures tonight. Off to work now.

I don't understand this remark.
This F-100 is just amazingly beautiful in its natural-metal finish, with those colorful lines all around its structure.

Too bad I had to save money and miss this show. I have always wanted to see the F-100. It's a shame he does not bring it out more, but I'm
sure it costs a fortune to operate.
