Mudge, I guess you've never read my signature... 8)

I've been meaning to start a thread just like this one, but my internet connection has been down. :x Anyway, Walt beat me to it.

I already kinda announced the June 26th day in the Yale 3399 thread ( viewtopic.php?f=3&t=30030 ), but I'll announce it here too.
The Veterans and Youth Flyday will be honouring our Vets with a Royal Canadian Legion drumhead as well as having Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadrons present.
There will be a flypast of warbirds during the ceremony to honour our vets as well. Now that's just the morning...

In the afternoon, we will be celebrating the first public flight of CHAA's Yale C-GLJH, as well as honouring the individuals who were responsible for the restoration, including W/C Lou J. Hill, the Restoration Team, and Ernie Simmons.

The participating aircraft:
All 10 CHAA aircraft (8 flying)
Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team
Vintage Wings of Canada P-40N
No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum aircraft: Yale, Cornell (x2)
Canadian Historical Aircraft Association: Stearman & Chipmunk
My Yale 3390 project

Now for the July 24th event, it will be our 3rd Annual Wings & Wheels Car Show and Air Display.
About 150-200+ vintage cars will be parked at the airport for a good old-fashioned car show and a 2 1/2 hour airshow will take place starting at noon.

The participating aircraft:
All 10 CHAA aircraft (7 flying)
Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team
Russell Aviation Group - Hurricane & Bf-109E-4 --Battle of Britain Display Flight--

Our August 14th event is our 'Wings over Ontario' Air Show celebrating 25 Years of CHAA and 10 Years of the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team (CHAT)
It will be our scaled-down version of Geneseo packed into one day.

*note* the ramp will be open for visitors to take a closer look at the visiting aircraft up until about 11:30am and probably will open again later on in the afternoon once the show is finished

The participating aircraft so far:
All 10 CHAA aircraft (7, possibly 8 flying)
Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team
Russell Aviation Group - Hurricane & Harvard
Vintage Wings of Canada - P-40N Kittyhawk
Great War Flying Museum (3-4 aircraft) --WWI Dogfight Routine--
No. 6 RCAF Dunnville Museum aircraft:
T-28, Yale?, Cornell(s?), Fleet Finch?, Tiger Moth?, Harvard?
Canadian Historical Aircraft Association:
Stearman & Chipmunk (x2)
Tiger Boys aircraft: Fleet 16R and 16B Finches
Jet Aircraft Museum: CT-133 Silver Star -static display only- (privately owned, not one of the 6 from London)
Harvard 4 20413 - Tom Siimes
My Yale 3390 project

And the following aircraft may be attending but are not yet confirmed:
Canadian Warplane Heritage B-25 Mitchell 'Hot Gen' (fly-by only - not landing)

Please note that all flying participants are tentative and are subject to change.

Hope to see some of you out there!

:partyman:

-edit- updated aircraft on August 10th

Sorry I missed you there Eric. Great Shots!

I went up with Junior at the end of April but your shots turned out a lot better! viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35906
...the first Saturday in three months that I miss and you come out for a visit...

Anyway I just updated the participating aircraft list to include Russell Group's Bf-109E. It was slated to possibly attend the August show, but the August 1st prop overhaul deadline curtailed that.

I've been told that the emphasis will now be on the July 24th Wings & Wheels, as there will be more visiting aircraft on that date as compared to August 14th. Not sure how that will pan out as the field will be packed with vintage cars, but I guess only time will tell.

I'll keep you posted.

Shane

Just updated the participating aircraft list again to include the other CHAA, that being the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association in Windsor.

Also, the ramp will be open up until just before noon for visitors to have a chance to go out and take a closer look at the aircraft and talk to the pilots.

And if you missed the 'Yellow Bird' (ie trainers) gathering in June, not to worry! There's a good thance to see over 20 trainers on the field on July 24th and August 14th for that matter as well.

Hope to see some of you there!

Just a reminder of the Wings & Wheels Show on Saturday.

From the lack of replies it seems no one is interested...

This is the only airshow in Ontario featuring all four RAG planes where they'll be landing at the field and you can go up for a close inspection.
