The guy who suggested identifying the QA stamp at AAIR is spot on. The guy who came up with the material spec is out to lunch. First off the QQ-A-362 spec wasn't developed in WW2 as such with the T-4 temper identifier for 2024. During WW2 material specs painted on aluminum sheet would be identified as 24T.
The QA stamps should tell you who the manufacturer was, that should be a big clue in finding out about this wreck.
