I was able to obtain 200 photos of AMARC the other day. All from 2009. :D

BTW: thanks Larry for the photos. Interesting but also very sad! There is still a bunch of those C-131's there. :(

Thanks for posting these Larry and all the others you've put up lately. Good stuff.

So where did you get those 200 photos from Nathan? And when are you going to post some of them? :)

I've got about 100 I took myself back in 1987. I need to get them digitized at some point...

I won them on evilbay. They are on a CD though but I talked to the seller about them and she said they were never used and most pictures where taken within the last several years. She is selling off some of her husbands aviation items. :( He is in the military. I asked her for written concent so I can give the photos credit to him. Also won a CD worth of 200 photos of various airliner boneyard pictures, and another CD full of 200 some C-130 pics. Wow jack pot!

Just have to wait for the shipping time and then I can post them. I still need to scan all the photos from my uncle from a few airshows from the 1950's. I think I might end up over extending my photobucket account. I would post pictures more often but its very time consuming with my slow computer. :x

Thanks for posting these fantastic photographs. They are hard to look at of course, but it's always interesting to see such images from bigone eras. I am especially interested in those poor old Grumman Albatross, particularly the dark-painted ones. Is that black paint on them, or dark navy blue? I am curious why either would be in use at this point, but perhaps they had been there for many moons already. Regardless, fascinating stuff... please do feel good about posting more... we will eat it all up!

All the best,
Richard

Thanks Larry! That means a lot. If I ever win it big I plan to buy up all the military EC-121's. The big domed airplanes always fascinates me!
