Here are a few shots taken over Spring Break 2010 at Justin, Texas.

L-5 Pilots: Mark Todd, and Taylor Stevenson

It was a great day for a three ship at the Propwash Airport, L-Bird Capitol of Texas (Although I think Ryan will disagree 8) )

I don't feel like arguing right now. I wish I could get my hands on another L-5 to use commercially. Just can't afford to buy one myself yet. I think we've got two local L-5s (one's in PEZ), four or five L-2s at least, a couple or more L-4s, but I don't doubt that Dallas has us beat if ya'll really want to start counting.
Looks like fun.

If it isn't, it ought to be! I'll say this, Mr. Cannon and Mr. Stratton, and a few other notables like Mr. Wakefield and Wes Kyle certainly were a driving force behind the history that we DO have recorded. That history is what's important. TX has done it's part!

Where is all that oil money? When oil was booming in the 70's there were people like Howard Pardue, Connie Edwards and so many others, buying up and restoring warbirds like crazy. The CAF was drowning in cash, gas, parts, and aircraft donations.
I really thought there would be 10 or 20 "Kermit Weeks" or "Jerry Fagens" with voracious appetites going on.
